Creator Victor Levin and star Andrea Riseborough discussed their Masterpiece on PBSminiseries Alice & Jack at Deadline Contenders TV on Saturday. Riseborough plays Alice and Domhnall Gleeson plays Jack in the six-episode show that follows their relationship over 16 years. Riseborough said she often is frustrated that most conventional love stories worry about making the characters likable and perfectly moral.

Deadline’s Contenders Television, the event where stars and showrunners talk up their shows ahead of Emmy voting, has unveiled its panel lineup.

Khaou’s debut, “Lilting” (2014), starring Ben Whishaw and Cheng Pei-pei, premiered in the world cinema dramatic competition at Sundance, winning best cinematography. “Monsoon” (2019), his second feature, starred Henry Golding and premiered in competition at Karlovy Vary.

Kate Winslet stars as the authoritarian leader of a fictional European country in the new black comedy “The Regime.” Premiering Sunday, March 3 (9 p.m.) on HBO and streaming on Max, the six-episode political satire was created by “The Menu” and “Succession” writer Will Tracy. The story follows a year within the palace of a crumbling regime, led by the volatile and paranoid Chancellor Elena Vernham (Winslet). Co-stars include Hugh Grant as her political rival, Andrea Riseborough as the palace manager and Martha Plimpton as a US Senator.

Alex Ritman VMI Releasing has acquired North American distribution rights for physiological thriller “What Remains,” starring Andrea Riseborough and Stellan Skarsgard.
