Coronation Street star Antony Cotton has addressed the confusion about the Grimshaw household as he also revealed his hand in the return of on-screen son Dylan Willson. The actor, famed for playing Sean Tully in the ITV soap, is in the midst of another big storyline.
As Corrie fans know, Dylan, played by Liam McCheyne has been involved in the cruel bullying of Liam for months with Mason even pulling a knife on Liam during one of his heartbreaking tormenting sessions.
It has been revealed that in an hour-long episode to air on Wednesday, February 14, Corrie viewers will discover the depths of Liam’s despair as he is seen to search online ways to take his own life but is interrupted by his mum, Maria Connor.

Then, in the coming months, Dylan will be facing the serious repercussions of his actions and will be needing the support of both his parents with it being confirmed that mum Violet Wilson will return next month, with the role being repirsed by original actress Jenny Platt - 13 years after she was last seen on-screen.
While talking about the storyline, Antony explained that it was his idea to reintroduce Dylan and have young actor Liam, who shared the role as a youngster with twin brother Connor, reprise the role following an eight-year absence.
He told the Manchester Evening News and other press "The truth is that I wrote a little storyline for Dylan and discussed it with Iain MacLeod [Corrie producer]. It was going to be some kind of trauma, but not that trauma. We were going to have a medical story where he needed something from someone."
