Coronation Street star Matt Millburn was quick to correct Lorraine Kelly when she suggested his mum has been helping him with his affair storyline. The actor appeared on the presenter's ITV show on Wednesday (February 21) to talk about his latest storyline in the soap.
Corrie fans have seen Matt's character Tommy Orpington return to Weatherfield and far from his Weatherfield County days, the former footballer is now a painter and decorator and was hired by Tracy Barlow to spruce up the home she shares with husband Steve McDonald and adoptive dad Ken Barlow.
It wasn't long before Tommy admitted to fancying Tracy and the flower shop owner was more than willing to give in to her lust for the former Weatherfield County star with the pair sleeping together while Steve was away visiting his daughter, Emma Brooker, in France.

He has since returned and almost caught the pair at it behind the counter at the florists but lucky for them, Steve didn't suspect a thing. He has since tried to be more romantic and impress his wife with upcoming plans to suggest renewing their wedding vows.
However, next week in Corrie, Steve's bestie Tim Metcalfe tells Tracy he knows about her affair and she has to tell Steve. Despite agreeing to marry him again, Tracy later finds herself breaking the news to Ken and Amy Barlow that she’s been having a fling with Tommy.
Matt said of the upcoming scenes: "Poor old Steve! He's gonna be mortified at the fact that it's Tommy, rather than just finding out that his Mrs is having an affair."
