The 47 year old TV star is set to join Rylan Clark on the popular morning show on November 13 and 14 and she will then present alongside Craig Doyle on November 15. A source shared that Cat is a 'seasoned pro' and has been on the show's radar for a while.
They said she's great with live TV and has a knack for making guests feel at ease.
"She is comfortable interviewing both popstars and politicians, so if it goes well she could be a much more permanent solution to Holly leaving. Cat would be a safe captain to steady the ship," the insider told The Sun. The source also mentioned Rylan's success on the show, hinting that fans can expect to see more of him.

The news comes after Holly's sudden departure from the show over a month ago. ITV has been on the hunt for a permanent replacement since. Holly shared a heartfelt goodbye message on social media: "I have let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.
"To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so, so much.
This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we've done together." She continued: "Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You've been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day. Richard and Judy said 'we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers'.
