Casemiro has revealed that Manchester United's directors played a key role in bringing him to the club this summer.
United officially completed the signing of Casemiro from Real Madrid for a fee of £60million rising to £70m, depending on performance-related add-ons, this week. The midfielder has signed a four-year contract with the option of an additional year.
Casemiro is Erik ten Hag's fourth signing of the summer and he's now one of the highest earners at Old Trafford. Casemiro has an elite pedigree, having won five Champions League titles with Madrid, and he is a regular starter for Brazil's national side.

United's football director John Murtough is in charge of transfers but has been criticised in some quarters for the pace of United's dealings in the market, as well as the lengthy pursuit of Frenkie de Jong, but it appears he was influential in convincing Casemiro to move to Manchester.
“Well, from the very first moment the Manchester United directors have been great with me and that's what I needed," Casemiro told United's in-house media. "They showed me a lot of affection and I want to show, as soon as possible, in training and in games.
