A car was smashed into a solicitors building on a main road in Whitefield on Wednesday night (April 17). The wall of an external part of the building, on Bury New Road, appeared to have crumbled around the vehicle after the collision.
Fire crews, paramedics and police attended the incident at around 6.30pm. The crash had involved two vehicles, with one of them swerving and ploughing into the front of the HCB Solicitors building.
The pavement was taped off for a number of hours after the collision, with one man taken to hospital from the scene. The scene was made safe before the incident was investigated by police and the building inspector.

Pictures from the scene showed how the silver car had smashed into the exterior wall of an extension on the building, with the wall crumbling around it and landing on the bonnet.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue service said, “At around 6:30pm this evening (Wednesday 17th of April), firefighters were called to reports of a crash on Bury New Road in Manchester.
“Two fire engines from Whitefield and Broughton fire stations, as well as the Technical Rescue Unit from Ashton fire station, quickly arrived at the scene which involved a collision between two vehicles, with one crashing into the wall of a commercial property.
“One male was given medical assistance at the scene by colleagues from the North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) before being taken to hospital.
