A car has been reduced to a burnt out shell after it burst into flames on a residential Scots street.
Emergency services scrambled to Greenfield Circle in Elgin, Moray, after the alarm was raised at around 11pm on Friday.
Fire crews attended and extinguished the blaze but the vehicle was completely destroyed.
Pictures sent to the Record showed the burnt out remains of the car parked in front of a property on the street.
The driver's door could seen to be opened with smashed glass scattered around the vehicle.
Further images showed the emergency response with police and fire crews in attendance at the scene.
The area was cordoned off by firefighters while they dealt with the incident. This morning a barrier was placed around the charred debris after the vehicle was recovered.
It's currently unclear what sparked the blaze. However, the fire is not being treated as wilful.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 11pm on Friday, April 7, police were made aware of a vehicle on fire in Greenfield Circle, Elgin.
“Emergency services attended and the fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.”
