A 'bully' smeared faeces over the living room walls at his girlfriend's house while she was on holiday.
Timothy Sargeant also cut up her clothes and smashed up ornaments at her home, the Liverpool Echo reports. This was just one incident in his 'bizarre' and long-lasting campaign of domestic abuse against his partner.
On another occasion, Sargeant stabbed himself with a 'potato knife' after strangling her. On another, the 30-year-old hurled a fork at his girlfriend with such force it became lodged in her hand and broke her little finger.

Liverpool Crown Court heard yesterday (Thursday) how Sargeant had been with his victim for around 10 years. The couple have an eight-year-old son together.
But Suzanne Payne, prosecuting, described how their 'toxic and abusive' relationship broke down in April 2023 due to Sargeant's 'paranoid and bizarre behaviour'. One one occasion in March, they had been due to attend a function in Wigan but began arguing at their home in Haydock before leaving.
The defendant was said to have 'become very angry' and shouted at her, calling her a 's**g' a 's**t' and a 'fat b****'. Sargeant, formerly of Whitfield Grove, then throttled his victim in the bedroom, placing both his hands around her neck and squeezing.
She was left unable to breath for around five seconds until she also grabbed him by the neck - at which point he stopped, picked up a 'potato knife' and stabbed himself in the leg, causing her to remove all knives from their home as she feared he would harm her or himself with these blades.
