BREAKING: Two men stabbed in broad daylight in Wythenshawe - with one hospitalised for 'serious injuries'

A man has been hospitalised after a stabbing in broad daylight in Wythenshawe today (December 12).
Cops scrambled to Royalthorn Road at 12.20pm, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed. They were responding to reports of a ‘serious assault’, they added.
Officers found that two men — both in their 30s — suffered injuries. One man has been taken to hospital with ‘serious but not life changing or life threatening stab injuries’.

Patrols will be stepped up following the incident, which is thought to be ‘isolated’, according to Inspector Anis Hakim, from GMP’s City of Manchester South district.
He said: “Understandably incidents of this nature may cause community concerns, but I want to provide reassurance that this incident is believed to be isolated. The local community may notice an increased presence in the area whilst officers continue their enquiries.
“A scene remains on Royalthorn Road and we thank the public for their patience so far.”
