It would not be Manchester without a bit of rain and the city has well and truly made its likeness for a bit of water known just in time for the arrival of fashion house Chanel.
Chanel has taken over the Northern Quarter to host its exclusive Métiers d'Art show on Thomas Street this evening (December 7). The event, which is expected to last less than ten minutes, will showcase the latest collection designed by creative director Virginie Viard and is expected to be attended by members of the elite and high-profile celebrities.
Despite the rain, people in Manchester have refused to let the opportunity of possibly catching a glimpse of Kristen Stewart or Hugh Grant slip by them and have lined the streets surrounding the stage for the Chanel show in anticipation.
