The police watchdog is continuing to investigate a crash in Trafford in which a young woman died, an inquest hearing has been told.
Xena Georgiou, 20, was driving a BMW that crashed when she 'lost control' and it collided with a parked car in Sale, Trafford, following a short police pursuit on Sunday, December 3.
She was rushed to the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI) but died later that day. An investigation by the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) is now underway.

On Friday an inquest into Ms Georgiou's death was formally opened at South Manchester Coroner's Court in Stockport. Senior Coroner Mutch said the IOPC's investigation into the incident was ongoing.
She said: "Greater Manchester Police (GMP) went to an incident. It's currently being investigated by the IOPC. A BMW motor vehicle lost control, there was a collision with another vehicle that was parked and unattended.
"Clearly there are investigations being undertaken. I am going to formally open the inquest today and I am going to adjourn to a pre-inquest review on March 4 next year in order to understand where that investigation has reached."
"I would like to take this opportunity to extend my condolences to her family at this very difficult time," she added.
Following her death, Ms Georgiou's family paid a moving tribute to her.
