Filming is underway for a brand new BBC comedy set in Stockport, starring Greater Manchester actress and Netflix star Aimee Lou Wood.
Daddy Issues is a six-part series from the team behind hit comedy The Inbetweeners and sitcom White Gold. It stars Aimee, who was born in Stockport and grew up in Bramhall, as party girl Gemma who lives for the weekend and loves a good night out on the town.
After joining the mile high club with a random hook-up, her life is turned upside down when she discovers she's pregnant. The only person Gemma has left in her life is her dad Malcolm, portrayed by The Walking Dead and The Long Shadow star David Morrissey.

Malcolm is suffering from the collapse of his family and living in a bedsit for divorced men. So, he moves in with Gemma to support her at such a critical time. Cue their world's colliding, as the pair discover there's a lot they can learn from each other - and about each other.
The show is written by Brassic and In The Long Run's Danielle Ward. A release date is yet to be confirmed. More details, including scheduling and the cast in full, will be revealed in due course.
