Piers Morgan forced to apologise to I'm A Celebrity winner Sam Thompson and admits 'I misjudged' after being corrected by son

Piers Morgan has issued an apology to I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here winner Sam Thompson after making an insulting jibe. The presenter, who has his own show Piers Morgan Uncensored on TakTV, hit out at the former Made In Chelsea star after his stint in the jungle.
Sam was amongst the 12 stars who took on this year's series of the reality show set in Australia. The 31-year-old made the final alongside former pro boxer Tony Bellew and ex UKIP leader Nigel Farage, who each took on their final Bushtucker trial in a bid to win their desired three-course meal.
After Nigel Farage received the fewest public votes, it was between Tony and Sam to take the crown. After hosts Ant and Dec announced Sam had been crowned King of the Jungle on Sunday (Dec 10), Sam said: "I didn’t think I was even going to be invited on this show. I am so grateful, thank you so much, I’ve dreamt of doing this show for years and years and you made this boy’s dream come true.”

But during his time in the jungle, Piers had made a dig at the reality star after branding him 'irritating' and a 'halfwit'. Taking to X, formerly Twitter, on Monday (Dec 11) Piers wrote to his 8.7 million followers: "Congrats to Nigel Farage on losing a public vote for the 7th time, this time to an irritating reality TV halfwit in the lowest-rated series of I’m A Celebrity. And for ending up engulfed with snakes, an appropriate final humiliation for the biggest snake in Britain."
But Piers was soon corrected by his eldest son, Spencer Morgan, who took to X to share
