An Ayrshire town's biggest employer has launched a defibrillator to make their community safer.
Emergency One in Cumnock have funded the life-saving tech which could be used in the event of a cardiac arrest.
The piece of equipment can provide an emergency electric charge to someone whose heart has stopped beating.
The firm which builds fire engines and appliances for emergency crews across the globe employs 250 members of staff.
The company already have an inhouse defibrillator but wanted to provide one to the public, which is available 24/7.
The life-saving device is located inside the Caponacre Estate which includes other workplaces and is near homes. The defibrillator is also linked into a national circuit which will allow a person to contact 999 to gain access and alert emergency crews.
Mike Madsen, managing director, said: "As the largest employer in Cumnock, many of our colleagues, friends and family live close by our facility. Although we have our own inhouse defibrillator, we felt it was right to provide one available for 24/7 public use.
"After some research and speaking with Scottish Ambulance Service, we have now joined the circuit meaning that anyone who is in need can contact 999 who will provide the code to allow access to this potentially lifesaving defibrillator."
