A body has been found in the search for a missing man who vanished from a town in Fife.
Ian Wilson, 64, was last seen in the Katrine Crescent area of Kirkcaldy at around 10.15pm on Monday, October 2.
Officers said they were concerned for Ian's welfare and urged anyone with information on his whereabouts to come forward.
Police were today seen searching an area of waste ground near Fife Central Retail Park in Kirkcaldy.
Officers have now confirmed a body was sadly found near Home Farm View in the town.
Formal identification is yet to take place but Ian's heartbroken family have been informed.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.40 pm on Friday, October 6, 2023, the body of a man was recovered by officers near to Home Farm View, Kirkcaldy.
"Whilst formal identification has yet to take place, the family of Ian Wilson, 64, missing from Kirkcaldy since Monday, 2 October, has been made aware.
"There would appear to be no suspicious circumstances surrounding the death. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
