Love Island star Casey O’Gorman has opened up about his split from Claudia Fogarty as he and partner Rosie Seabrook became the most recent couple to be dumped from the villa. Additionally, the premiere of the show — which was most recently set for May — has now been pushed to the 2023-2024 season. The news was announced by Michael Thorn, president of scripted programming at Fox Entertainment, at the London TV Screenings on Wednesday. “The 2023-24 season is the perfect launching pad for this highly-anticipated and very funny animated comedy, complete with multiple seasons of epic laughs for fans,” Thorn said. “The more we see from production, the more excited we are about their creativity, story arcs, flawless execution, brilliant voice cast and ability to pump out episode after episode of astonishing events and outrageous, unexpected hilarity.”

Per Fox, “Animal Control” earned 4.5 million total multi-platform viewers in its first three days of availability — an increase of 114% from live + same day figures. On Hulu and Fox Now, the live-action comedy recorded 1.3 million streaming viewers. On linear, the comedy delivered a 0.31 rating in the key adults 18-49 demograhic after it premiered on Feb. 16 to an audience of approximately 2 million total viewers. The feat makes the series Fox’s most-streamed live-action comedy ever, besting the 2015 premiere of “Last Man on Earth” (1.22 million), and pushing it to become Fox’s most watched comedy telecast since the 2021 “Last Man Standing” finale excluding post-NFL telecasts. The telecast scored a 0.5 rating among the adults 18-49 key demographic.

Following Thursday night's dramatic recoupling Love Island Casa Amor bombshell Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo has issued a stark warning that Casey O-Gorman may end up regretting his choice to recouple with Claudia Fogarty.The dental receptionist had gotten close to Casey over the few days she was in the villa, but he ultimately chose to stick with Claudia instead of forming a new couple with Cynthia. Under the latest of Fox’s recent string of what it calls “broadcast direct” deals, Adler (whose credits also include “Maggie”) will create series that will be owned by Fox Entertainment and produced by its in-house Fox Entertainment Studios shingle. The Adler deal was announced by Michael Thorn, Fox Entertainment’s president of scripted programming. Thorn previously helped develop “Life in Pieces” (which aired on CBS for four seasons between 2015 and 2019) with Adler, back when Thorn was exec vice president of development at 20th Century Fox TV. Also at 20th at the time was Cheryl Dolins, who’s now Fox Entertainment senior VP of comedy programming and development and who also worked closely with Adler while at the studio.

The network launches its only new live-action comedy of the season, “Animal Control,” on Thursday, and Fox Entertainment’s scripted president Michael Thorn says that show’s development is a case study in how series will be ordered moving forward at the network. Instead of a pilot, Fox commissioned multiple scripts in order to test the viability of the sitcom. “Script-to-series,” which has been a staple at several cable networks for years, will now be the standard for Fox as well.

Ahead of the recoupling, the Islanders in the main villa begin to think about their decisions, with Casey telling Cynthia Otseh-Taiwo: “I think for us boys, no matter what decisions we make, someone’s always going to be upset.” He then adds: “There’s going to be some broken hearts.” He also tells Cynthia: “You’re the girl I’ve definitely been closest with and vibed with the most.

Zack Sharf Chelsea Handler eviscerated Tucker Carlson and Ben Shapiro on social media after they mocked her for being a “childless woman.” The beef among the TV personalities started on Valentine’s Day when Handler posted a playful comedy video about the “day in the life of a childless woman.” Carlson was apparently so triggered by the video that he referred to Handler on his show as an “aging, deeply unlikeable woman who never had kids.” Carlson’s guest, the right wing radio host Jesse Kelly, took things even further by going on a misogynistic rant against Handler. Kelly said Handler’s “womb resembles a dried-up tumbleweed blowing down an old western town,” adding her “Valentine’s date for the 10th year in a row is a 10-year-old copy of ‘Magic Mike’ and a half-full bottle of Xanax, and you’re trying to pretend like you’re happy, but you’re not happy.”
