Alison Hammond 'gutted' as she announces end of 'dream' venture

Alison Hammond has shared some sad news with her fans as the This Morning presenter revealed on Instagram that her time in pantomime at the Birmingham Hippodrome is coming to an end. Alison has been playing the Spirit of the Beans in Jack and the Beanstalk. Alison took to social media to tell her followers: "Hi everyone, I'm just giving you a heads up that there's only seven days left until the end of Jack and the Beanstalk at the Birmingham Hippodrome.
I hope you can come and see it. I am going to be gutted when it is over." She also encouraged her fans to come and watch the show, saying: "But make sure you come and experience such a lovely, happy, funny panto at the Hippodrome in Birmingham. See you there!" Alison has been performing alongside Samantha Womack, Matt Slack, Doreen Tipton and Andrew Ryan.
On the Christmas Day special of This Morning, Alison spoke about how much she loved performing at the Birmingham venue. During the episode, she joined Dermot O'Leary, Josie Gibson, Craig Doyle and Gyles Brandreth as they opened their presents to each other. In a sweet chat with Dermot, he said to Alison: "You've got something lovely.
So, at the moment you've got the day off but where are you performing panto right now?" and Alison answered: "The Hippodrome." Subsequently, Dermot shared: "The Birmingham Hippodrome. Well it's a very special place for you and a lifelong dream that you're performing there!" To this, Alison heartily agreed: "Massively!" In a sentimental reveal, Dermot announced, "So we took the liberty of doing something... Can we just take a look at this? So, we've named a seat 'Alison Hammond, TV Queen and pantomime star'.
