'Act now' flood warning issued as neighbours told to expect 'flooding of property'

Homeowners have been warned to 'act now' after flood warnings were issued.
Large parts of Cheshire, including parts of Warrington, as covered by the alert, which was issued today by the Environment Agency. The warning covers almost the entirety of Victoria Park; at Marshall Gardens, Chester Road and Arpley Road; and the Riverside Trading Estate near Fiddlers Ferry.
Forecasters have warned to expect 'flooding of property' due to high tides on the Mersey. Parts of Widnes, Runcorn, Frodsham, Hale and Ince are also under the alert.

The Environment Agency warns flooding is expected in Warrington from 1.30pm. Tides will peak between 2pm and 3pm on different parts of the Estuary.
"Higher than normal tides" are expected over the next two days and the Agency warns it could issue further alerts and warnings. At Victoria Park, the car park, bowling greens, running track allotments, playground, skatepark and sports pitches are expected to flood from 1.30pm.
Closer to the town centre, flooding of property is expected at parts of Chester Road between Brian Bevan Island and Arpley Railway Bridge; Arpley Road and underneath Arpley Railway Bridge from 1.45pm.
In the west of the town, at Fiddlers Ferry, flooding of property is expected at the Sailing Club, The Ferry Tavern and Riverside Trading Estate from 1.30pm.
The Environment Agency also issued a flood alert this morning for Fiddlers Ferry, Eastford Road, Arpley Bridge, Knutsford Road, Howley, Kingsway North and Westy. It warns flooding is possible at low-lying roads from at Fiddlers Ferry, peaking around 2pm; Eastford Road, peaking around 2.15pm; and Arpley Bridge and Knutsford Road, peaking around 2.30pm.
