Marvel Studios’ “Thunderbolts” is getting a screenwriter change as Lee Sung Jin, creator of the upcoming Netflix dark comedy series “Beef” is set to pick up the project from “Black Widow” screenwriter Eric Pearson. “Thunderbolts” will see Sung Jin reunite with director Jake Schreier, who directed all six episodes of “Beef.” Set for release in July 2024, “Thunderbolts” has not released a synopsis but will see longtime MCU star Sebastian Stan return as Bucky Barnes, the man once known as The Winter Soldier, as he leads a team of antiheroes and villains from past MCU movies and Disney+ shows on a clandestine government mission.

Deal Or No Deal is set to return to screens with Stephen Mulhern on hosting duties. ITV has announced it is reviving the gameshow, which became famous for its red boxes ranging in cash prizes from 1p to the £250,000 jackpot, after it was axed by Channel 4 in 2016.The new series, for which casting is currently under way, will see “a brand-new setting with brand-new prize boxes and a new batch of contestants”, according to ITV.

Joe Otterson TV Reporter “Grey’s Anatomy” has been renewed for Season 20 at ABC. With the renewal, the series continues its run as the longest running primetime medical drama in TV history. In addition, series executive producer Meg Marinis will serve as showrunner on Season 20. Marinis takes over from Krista Vernoff, who was reported to be stepping down from “Grey’s Anatomy” and its spinoff “Station 19” back in January. The Season 19 finale of “Grey’s Anatomy” will air on May 18. The show has seen a number of exits this season, most notably Vernoff and Kelly McCreary (who’s played Dr. Maggie Pierce for nine seasons) — and series lead Ellen Pompeo, kind of. Pompeo has been with the show since it debuted, but in the Feb. 23 episode, her character Meredith Grey moved from Seattle to Boston. She will continue to provide the voiceover at the beginning and end of each episodes, and she’ll also appear on the finale. Pompeo’s status for Season 20 is still up in the air.

Michael Schneider Variety Editor at Large Roku Channel scripted series head Colin Davis has jumped to Sony Pictures Television Studios as the studio’s new exec VP of comedy development, Variety has confirmed. As part of the exec shuffle, back at Roku, Brian Tannenbaum has replaced Davis as head of scripted on an interim level. Davis will report to Sony Pictures TV Studios co-president Jason Clodfelter and oversee comedy development for all platforms. Davis’ team will include comedy development senior VP, animation VP Frank Ochoa and comedy development manager Jackie Wertheimer. He starts on May 1. At Roku, Davis oversaw the launch of series including the “Reno 911” reboot and Kevin Hart’s “Die Harter,” as well as the greenlight and release of the feature “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story.” Davis joined Roku as part of its acquisition of Quibi content; he had previously led scripted at that very brief short-form subscription service. Before Quibi, he handled comedy development at Turner, working on shows such as “Search Party.” His interim replacement, Tannenbaum, also joined Roku from Quibi..

That’s a slight fall from the previous week’s opening at 1.73 billion minutes viewed, but remains a solid performance. Part 2 of Season 4 was released on March 9, so it’s expected that the show will continue to stay among the top 10 titles for some time. Following closely behind is “New Amsterdam” with 1.05 billion minutes viewed. Netflix and Peacock both share the title’s catalog. Netflix added two seasons of the series in January. Previously, the show was only available for streaming on Peacock.

Netflix added two seasons of the series in January. Before, “New Amsterdam” was originally only available for streaming on Peacock.
