Although “Yellowstone” has been on cable since 2018, the contemporary western has found a new audience on broadcast TV. Back in Sept. 2023, Paramount Global started to air “Yellowstone” on CBS every Sunday starting with season one.
It brought in high ratings averaging 5.49 million viewers per episode, while 6.6 million viewers tuned in for the series premiere. In addition, it’s expected that “Yellowstone’s” audience is just going to grow more and more on broadcast TV — namely because it’s still more accessible than cable and streaming. “Yellowstone” season three will air on Sunday, Jan.
