Yeah Yeah Yeahs have announced their first new track in nine years, ‘Spitting Off The Edge Of The World’.The Karen O-fronted trio are set to play their first UK headline gigs since 2013 next month, and previously promised that they’d be showcasing “some tunes so fresh and so NEW” to those crowds.While confirming additional dates in New York and Los Angeles, the YYYs recently revealed that they’d signed a new record deal with Secretly Canadian. “New music! New Era! And New Home…” they wrote.
“Much to celebrate!”Today (May 26), Yeah Yeah Yeahs took to social media to announce that they’ll be making their long-awaited return next week.“We present to you with heads bowed and fists in the air ‘Spitting Off The Edge Of The World’ featuring Perfume Genius out June 1,” they wrote. The Delgados have announced details of a string of reunion shows that will see the band perform live for the first time in 18 years.The Glasgow band announced their reunion last week (June 8), along with a montage of footage and quotes, soundtracked by a number of their songs.Additionally, the band shared a statement explaining that the band first began speaking about the idea on the way to Stuart Braithwaite of Mogwai’s wedding.The band said: “When we started The Delgados in 1994, it instantly felt effortless and simple. Courteeners have announced a string of US tour dates for this November, marking the first time the band have played the US since Coachella in 2009.The US tour kicks off at Boston’s Brighton Music Hall on November 10, with the band heading to New York, Philadelphia and Los Angeles ahead of their recently announced Corona Capital Festival appearance in Mexico City on November 18.Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10am local time in each city on June 17.
