It's certainly one of the more unusual kick-off times Manchester United will have this season.
In fact, it brings back memories of that strange and confusing period when football was played during the Covid-19 lockdown era with no fans in stadiums allowing for all manner of bizarre kick-off times. A Premier League match taking place on a Sunday at 7pm was unheard of before the pandemic and thankfully, for travelling supporters, it is a timeslot that was banished to the history books once normality returned — until now.
Erik ten Hag's side will face Everton at the aforementioned time this weekend following a logistical issue that means it will have to take place outside the normal kick-off times reserved for Sundays. The game was originally chosen by BT Sport as their Saturday lunchtime match but as United were in Europa League action on Thursday they could not play until Sunday at the earliest.

The fact that Sky Sports are showing two live games Sunday at 2pm and 4.30pm — Crystal Palace versus Leeds and Arsenal against Liverpool — and that United have been chosen for TV coverage are the reasons why the Goodison Park clash is now slated for a 7pm start.
Thankfully for United's visiting fans, they have been spared a logistical nightmare given the close proximity of the match and the fact trains back to Manchester will be in operation until well after full-time.
