A man has pleaded guilty to displaying threatening or abusive writing likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress at the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Manchester United. This was after they wore a football shirt at Wembley Stadium which made an offensive reference to the Hillsborough disaster.

Manchester United fans are split after discovering the club have made the decision to halve their asking price for Anthony Elanga.
MEN Sport now understands interested clubs will need to pay £10million to secure his services. Initially, the Reds were looking to loan Elanga out next season.
However, his peripheral status at Old Trafford has forced United's hand and they are now willing to sell the Swede. The 21-year-old's last start for the Reds came in the League Cup victory over Charlton Athletic but his last Premier League appearance was a cameo in the 7-0 loss at Liverpool.

Chances for Elanga could become even more limited in the 2023/24 campaign. Youngster Amad has enjoyed an impressive spell at Sunderland this year and is expected to be welcomed back into the fold under Erik ten Hag despite the Black Cats' interest in keeping him.
Elanga was one of Ralf Rangnick's favourites and the interim boss blocked a loan move last year to give him more games. The winger earned plaudits as he scored in the Reds' 1-1 draw at Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last season but his time in Manchester looks to be ending.
Reacting to the news of United's Elanga stance, supporters have given a mixed response. While some believe it is right for the forward to move on now, others are puzzled by the decision to part ways with a player who is still young and could come good in the future.
