Fallout fans will be getting their first major update in years as a free upgrade is set to roll out today.
The free Fallout 4 upgrade is for current-gen consoles, with last-gen consoles getting an update on console and PC versions of the popular video game too. It comes after the Fallout TV series premiered on Amazon Prime on April 10.
To celebrate the launch of the show, Bethesda is freshening up the game with a slew of long-awaited updates for players. Announced earlier this month, the free update will be for Xbox Series X/S and PS5 promises a new performance and quality mode, support for up to 60FPS, increased resolutions, stability improvements and quest fixes.
A significant PC upgrade is in store for the RPG with support for widescreen and ultra-widescreen, along with fixes to Creation Kit, quest updates, stability updates, mods and bug fixes. The game will also be Steam Deck verified.
As for Xbox One and PS4 players, there will be stability improvements, login fixes and various quest fixes which, granted, don't sound as exciting but are long overdue.
An official Fallout 4 update release time hasn't been announced by Bethesda, the Mirror has reviewed previous rollout times to estimate when the next-gen update arrives.
