PE teacher Heather Dobbin will mark dad George Braid’s 66th birthday by taking on a challenge she has called Beat the Devil.
Heather explained: “To celebrate my dad’s 65th birthday, I fundraised by running 65km in three days.
“This time, I am going to run 66.6km in three days but also wanted to involve other people.

“Examples include: The Wee Devil - 6.66km in a day, The Big Devil - 66.6km in a week or The Mighty Devil - 66.6km in three days.
“The challenge can be anything involving the numbers 666 and can be completed individually, as a team, couple or family. Anything goes!
“All that we ask is that you set your challenge, enter to receive your T-shirt and make a donation to Cancer Research and then fundraise as much as possible. Together, we can Beat the Devil.”
Dad George is Heather’s inspiration, and she is determined to do all she can to help others by fundraising for better treatments.
Heather continued: “My dad was first diagnosed with bowel cancer in April 2019.
“He has since had two major operations and various rounds of chemotherapy but sadly, at the age of 66, he is now at the stage of palliative care only.
“I have done various fundraising challenges in the past and want to do another one for him to see.
“Dad always says it’s too late for him but we need to do everything we can for other people in the future.
“Cancer is an awful disease with terrible side effects so we need to keep researching for better treatments
“I’ve always found running and exercise as a great way of
