Two people have been taken to hospital after an ambulance was involved in a crash with a car in Bury.
The smash happened on Manchester Road, at the junction with Knowsley Street, south of the town centre. An ambulance and a small white hatchback car collided shortly before 7:45pm.
Further paramedic vehicles, police and fire engines all attended the scene. Two people were taken to hospital it has been confirmed. The nature and seriousness of their injuries is currently unclear.

It is not yet known if the ambulance was responding to an incident at the time of the collision and if any of those injured were paramedics. The North West Ambulance Service have been contacted for comment.
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said: "At around 7.40pm, officers responded to reports of a collision between a car and an ambulance on Manchester Road, Bury. Two people have been taken to hospital for treatment."
A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “Shortly after 7.55pm this evening (Saturday, 23 March), one fire engine from Bury fire station was called to attend a road traffic collision involving a car and an ambulance on Manchester Road, Bury.
“Our crew arrived quickly and worked alongside colleagues from North West Ambulance Service and Greater Manchester Police to make the area safe. Firefighters departed after approximately 30 minutes at the scene.”
