Twilight author Stephanie Meyer has confirmed she will finally publish the long-awaited follow-up, Midnight Sun.

12 years after enlightening fans with her final book of the Twiligfht series, author Stephanie Meyer has revealed she is set to release a follow-up novel, titled Midnight Sun.

When you're a part of a fandom, you're pretty much in it for life! You may forget about it from time to time but gradually you are pulled back by the strings it's sown over your heart! Such is the case recently for the Twilight fandom as author Stephenie Meyer had the most exciting news to share with the fans. Midnight Sun is something Twilight fans are well aware of as it was the prequel novel to the series from Edward Cullen's point of view.

After 15 years, author Stephenie Meyer is taking Twilight fans back to Forks, Washington, in an all-new companion novel to the best-selling series.

Twihards, listen up! On Monday, Stephenie Meyer announced that she will be releasing the highly anticipated Twilight prequel Midnight Sun on August 4. Fans of the popular series will recall that the book, which is told in the perspective of vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen, was originally set to be released in 2008 but was delayed after a copy of Meyer's manuscript was leaked.

Bestselling author Stephenie Meyer is giving fans something to celebrate 15 years after she released the first book in the series! On Monday morning, Meyer announced that she's releasing another book from the young adult series, and this time if will be in the voice of vampire heartthrob Edward Cullen. 

Twelve years after Stephenie Meyer shelved her cult favorite vampire romance series “Twilight,” its saga is seeing a new dawn.

“It’s a crazy time right now, and I wasn’t sure if it was the right time to put this book out, but some of you have been waiting for just so, so long, it didn’t seem fair to make you wait anymore,” author Stephenie Meyer said on May 4 when announcing the release of Midnight Sun, a brand new addition to the Twilight series of books.

Update 5/4/20: We now know what Stephenie Meyer was teasing on her website over the last week — and yes, all that buzz and anticipation was justified. On Monday, Meyer revealed that her long-awaited Twilight companion novel Midnight Sun will finally hit shelves on Tuesday, Aug. 4.
