On July 12, the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards nominations will be announced, with many surprises expected across all categories. Below are my final Emmy predictions in all 101 categories (including creative arts).Last year’s Emmys saw Netflix’s “The Crown” and Disney+’s “The Mandalorian” lead the nomination tally with 24 noms each.

An adaptation of Dutch show “Penoza,” where a woman has to join a mafia gang and avenge her slain husband, the series is headlined by former Miss Universe and top Bollywood star Sushmita Sen, for whom season 1 was a triumphant comeback after a five year break due to illness. She plays the title role of Aarya Sareen, a fierce mother who has to keep her family safe from the world of crime.The first season was nominated for best drama series at the International Emmy Awards.

Realizing that his mob family may not have his best interests in mind, Dwight slowly builds a “crew” from a group of unlikely characters, to help him establish a new criminal empire in a place that to him might as well be another planet.

With the nominations round for the 74th annual Primetime Emmy Awards underway, the total number of submissions this year is TKTK across most categories.In the drama series categories, there are 171 contenders, while on the comedy side of the house, there are 118 titles on the ballot.In limited or anthology series, a category that continues to have evolution with rules changing from year to year, there are 61 programs in the mix.With a global pandemic hitting the Hollywood industry hard over the past two years, there were declines in productions due to pauses and varying factors related to COVID-19. In 2021 and 2020, drama series had 133 and 197 submissions during those periods.
