Sally Aisling, Victor’s wife, said: "He lived a good life and his death was sad but I am glad he lived his life. He got to see the places he wanted to visit.”
Victor had visited the majority of countries in South America with Peru being his latest destination after visiting just less then a year ago.
Sally continued: “After he retired, we first went on a cruise and he looked so happy. I don’t think I saw him that happy for a long time. We travelled together, we saw a lot of the world, we helped people we knew; he did so much, I think he would have been very satisfied if he knew the life he was gonna live.”
Victor’s daughter, Amanda, 44, said: “I was pregnant and gave birth to my second child around four years ago, I feel relieved he got to see that and his grandsons.
She continued: “I miss him so much and the reactions have been so nice. We have had neighbours come and give us food and support us. It feels everyone in our community has each others back and they know we would do the same back if anything similar happened to them.”
Victor leaves behind his wife Sally, his daughter Amanda and his two grandsons.
