Tommy Fury has joked that he had 'no choice' but to call his baby daughter Bambi as he finally shared the 'amazing' story behind her name. The boxer and his girlfriend Molly-Mae Hague came in for some criticism when they revealed their baby girl's Disney-inspired name last month.
The couple, who met and fell in love on Love Island in 2019, announced the arrival of their first child on January 30 they shared their first picture with their little girl, who they didn't confirm until later that they had named Bambi, and confirmed she made her entrance into the world a week earlier on January 23.
Molly-Mae and Tommy, both 23, shared a sweet black and white snap, which showed the pair beaming in the hospital with their bundle of joy, and simply captioned it: "23/01/23." It was 24 hours later that they confirmed their Disney-inspired name choice for their first child together.

Influencer Molly-Mae has also previously appeared to have hinted at the sweet nickname she has for her daughter "BamBam," she wrote alongside a white heart in a snap posted to her Instagram Story that showed her holding on to her then-newborn as they stood in front of her envy-inducing wardrobe.
Last month, the new mum addressed the backlash to her daughter's name in her first YouTube vlog since giving birth as she spoke all about her labour. The creative director for fashion brand PrettyLittleThing, burst into tears as she gazed down at her tiny bundle of joy and said: "I literally just said 'welcome back to my channel.'" And she asked her daughter jokingly: "What have you done to me? This is me crying all time, so emotional."
