This Morning's Dermot O'Leary forced to issue apology to viewers after shock blunder that breaks 'golden rule'

Dermot O'Leary found himself having to issue a delayed apology as he returned to This Morning for the last time this week. The presenter and Alison Hammond usually host the ITV daytime show on a Friday but have spent the whole week at the helm following the start of the summer holidays.
But viewers were left confused during the latest instalment of the programme, after Dermot made an apology for something that happened on the show the day before (Thursday). In the previous show, Josie Gibson was seen out and about conducting one of her latest segments when the incident appeared to take place.
When referring to the competition segment on today's show, Dermot announced that offensive language was used during another episode of the show. He said: "Also we'll like to apologise for any offensive language that you might have seen in the competitions earlier this week."

While Dermot didn't say exactly what the apology was in relation to, it seems viewers knew as during yesterday's show, former Big Brother winner Josie was seen interviewing a man who wore a hat with the word "c**t" written straight across it clearly breaking to golden rules of television.
One viewer laughed on social media: "Haha!!! They actually acknowledged the c**t hat someone was wearing in the competition VT." Another wrote: "#ThisMorning for everyone who missed the bad language featured in the competition VTs throughout the past week, what a fabulous hat!!"
