A third person has appeared in court charged with the murder of Glasgow grandad Brian Maley.
The 52-year-old’s body was discovered on Tuesday, February 8, inside his Young Terrace home in the Springburn area of the city.
Police later launched a murder investigation following the results of a post mortem.
Michael Anderson, 38, appeared in private at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Thursday February 17 charged with murdering the grandad.
Anderson, of Glasgow, also faces charges of assault and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
He made no plea during his appearance on petition and the case was committed for further examination.
Anderson was remanded in custody and is expected to appear in court again within the next eight days.
The 38-year-old's appearance follows that of Maria Gardiner and James Houston, who were the first to be charged with Maley's murder.
Gardiner, 45, and Houston, 33, appeared at Glasgow Sheriff Court on Wednesday, February 16, where they were remanded in custody.
The pair are yet to enter pleas to charges of murder and attempting to defeat the ends of justice.
Both are expected to re-appear in court within the next week.
Detective Chief Inspector Stuart Grainger, of Police Scotland’s Major Investigation Team, earlier said: “Our thoughts remain with Brian’s family at what continues to be a difficult time for them.
“I would also like to thank the local community for their patience, help and assistance during our investigation and to those who came forward with information."
