John Barrowman hit back at Richard Madeley after he interrogated him over his past behaviour - to the surprise of GMB viewers.
The Scots star said cancel culture is like hyenas "trying to strip meat to the bone" after the ITV host questioned him about allegations of exposing himself on the set of Doctor Who.
The Torchwood star was on the breakfast show to chat about hosting All Star Musicals, but the GMB presenter couldn't resist cutting straight to the quick with his first question.
John was accused and since apologised for exposing himself on the set of Doctor Who.
He has since defended his actions as "high-spirited behaviour and tomfoolery" and was also dropped from his judging role on ITV's Dancing On Ice.
Determined to continue to move forward and leave the past behind him, John and GMB viewers appeared slightly shocked by the former This Morning host's opening question.
Richard asked him: "A lot of people in this country would have assumed your career was over. When all the reports came out of this party trick you used to do, which is basically exposing yourself to colleagues which you thought was very funny at the time, and all this came out - and it would seem to many of us that that kind of sunk your career."
"And yet, here we are talking about brand new projects. How did you turn it around?"
John said: "I don't think it's me that has turned it around. The public understand that it was tomfoolery, that it was a joke and silliness and wasn't sexual harassment.
"And you say it was my party trick, but everybody who was there on set and part of the fun, all enjoyed and laughed about the silliness that went on...
He continued: "And also, you know, the cancelled culture. They've tried to strip my career over 35 years that
