Ange Postecoglou admits his vibrant Tottenham Hotspur side took inspiration from Manchester United favourite Cristiano Ronaldo when opting to unleash Son Heung-min as a central striker.
Son, 31, plundered his eighth goal in 10 matches this season during an important win over Crystal Palace on Friday night. That result means Tottenham are clear at the Premier League summit.
Renowned as a left-sided forward, the South Korean was appointed Tottenham captain this summer with former skipper Hugo Lloris playing no part and Harry Kane signing for Bayern Munich. And Son has also replaced Kane in leading the Tottenham line.

Speaking post-match after the Palace win, Postecoglou - whose side have picked up 26 points from a possible 30 - said he looked at how United great Ronaldo adapted his game when asking Son to change his position this season. And that call has brought clear rewards.
The Australian told Sky Sports: "It was a little bit of both, seeing him in training and playing. I don't want to make a similar comparison, but you had him at Manchester United, Cristiano [Ronaldo].
