The Beatles’ 1970 ‘Let It Be’ documentary to be re-released on Disney+

Ringo Starr has said there is “not a lot of joy” in The Beatles documentary Let It Be, ahead of its imminent re-release. Earlier this month, NME exclusively announced that Disney+ were to release a restored version of the 1970 film on May 8. Directed by Michael Lindsay-Hogg, Let It Be was first released in cinemas 54 years ago and has been difficult to obtain since – prompting considerable bootlegging.
