Julia MacCary editor During Sunday’s Academy Award ceremony, FX dropped a trailer for the highly anticipated second season of “The Bear” and announced it will premiere in June. FX captioned its tweet of the teaser: “It’s not a reopening, it’s a rebirth. FX’s ‘The Bear’ returns this June. Only on Hulu.” “The Bear” follows a young classically-trained chef who returns to Chicago to run his family’s Italian beef sandwich shop after his brother’s death. The series stars Jeremy Allen White (Carmen “Carmey” Berzatto), Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Richard “Richie” Jerimovich), Ayo Edebiri (Sydney Adamu), Lionel Boyce (Marcus), Liza Colón-Zayas (Tina) and Abby Elliott (Natalie “Sugar” Berzatto).
Created by Christopher Storer, the second season will be 10 episodes long, two more than its first, and will focus on the new restaurant’s opening.
The first season was met with great acclaim, winning at the WGAs and Indie Spirit Awards as well as receiving Golden Globe, Critics Choice and SAG nods. White took home the SAG for best actor in February, in addition to winning at Critics Choice and the Golden Globes. Stars White and Edebiri and executive producer Joanna Calo told Variety in January that Carmey and Sydney’s relationship will not progress past co-workers and (somewhat) friends in the second season. “We wanted to make something that was about friendship and a partnership,” Storer said. “It really is so funny that that is one of the things that people took away — of all the heavy shit that’s going on in the show! It was interesting because Ayo and Jeremy, since they are our friends and are such wonderful people, I think there is this charisma that comes off both of them.” Check out the trailer for Season 2 of “The Bear” below.

The show became as the streaming service’s most-watched show the week it debuted, besting other popular releases such as League Of Legends animated series Arcane and the second season of Tiger King.Based on show director Yeon Sang-ho’s own webtoon series of the same name, Hellbound is set in a world where apparitions appear before those supposedly guilty of wrongdoing, announcing ‘decrees’ of when they’d be condemned to hell.In the face of this revelation, two organisations – the cult-like New Truth Society fronted by Jung Jinsu (played in season 1 by Yoo Ah-in) and the militia-esque Arrowhead group – work together to gain power by leveraging on the fear of the populace and public demonstrations of sinners being sent to hell.Season one of Hellbound left viewers wanting answers about apparitions and decrees, with an unexpected cliffhanger that challenged the notion of what it means, within the show, to be sent to hell.
