Charlie Newling, who rose to fame on The Bachelorette, has died aged 36 after his car plunged off a cliff.
It comes just two months after the dad of two welcomed his second child. It's been reported the reality star was involved in the car accident at Dover Heights, Sydney on Saturday night.
The Mirror reports local people had contacted police after seeing the vehicle on fire at the bottom of the 70-metre cliff. His death is not being treated as suspicious.
Newling, who had a 13 year old son from a previous relationship, and partner Kristal Taylor announced the birth of their baby daughter in July of this year.
He took part in the 2018 series of the Bachelorette and was dubbed ‘Mr Perfect’ by some fans, but he also hit the headlines a few times after viewers complained he was "controlling" overshow star Ali Oetjen.
After he was kicked off the series, he was spotted being involved in a scuffle at a Sydney pub, and afterwards he’d explained he was drinking and celebrating with friends when he got into the fight with bouncers and was wrestled to the ground. Newling was also sentenced to 13 months in prison in 2022 after threatening to torture and kill his stepfather.
He served one month in custody and then he was ordered to serve his sentence in the community after magistrate Ross Hudson heard he had endured extensive childhood trauma. Newling's dad had become a paraplegic when his son was a teenager and then died in 2018 from an overdose of pain medication.
The court also heart he suffered from alcohol abuse, but the magistrate said his mother and stepfather would have faced "fear, torment and horror" after receiving 37 text messages from the reality star over a three-hour period.
One of the messages read: "I'm going to kill
