Teenager who died in 'workplace accident' at Bury industrial estate named as tributes flood in

A 17-year-old boy who died in a 'workplace accident' on an industrial estate in Bury has been named as Oliver Mawdsley. Tributes continue to flood in for the 'amazing' teenager.
Emergency crews were called to the scene of the incident on Tile Street, off Birch Street, shortly after 10am on Thursday (February 8). Police, paramedics and fire crews responded.
Sadly, Oliver died at the scene. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester North Coroners' Court, Rochdale, confirmed a file had been received in relation to Oliver's death. An inquest will be opened at a later date.

Tributes and condolences to his loved ones have poured in on social media. Kelly posted on Facebook: "He was an amazing lad my heart goes out to the family heartbreaking xx".
Rita wrote: "Such awful news, condolences to family and friends, R.I.P young man." Samantha commented: "R.I.P to this young man who was just starting his life my heart goes out to his family, friends and work colleagues, and all who knew him."
Woz wrote: "So sad just starting out his working life R.I.P young man." Julie said: "RIP young man, truly heartbreaking. Sending condolences to all of his family x".
Friend Shelly Clavering told the Manchester Evening News: "I am so sorry to all of his family for going through something so devastating. He will be truly missed by every one of us. He was an amazing young lad and will always be remembered."
Another pal said: "A very outgoing kid... will be missed a lot."
Following the incident, a 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of driving offences and gross negligence manslaughter. A 36-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of gross negligence manslaughter.
