Taye Diggs and Amber Riley have joined the cast of the upcoming animated series Ariel, which will serve as a prequel to the 2023 movie The Little Mermaid.
Disney Junior and Disney+ will air the new animated musical series in 2024 and it’s aimed at pre-schoolers.
The series “follows 8-year-old mermaid princess Ariel as she and her friends embark on fun-filled, action-packed underwater adventures throughout their Caribbean-inspired fairytale kingdom of Atlantica and beyond.”
