Succession has made Emmy history with its final season.
Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong and Kieran Culkin are nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series, marking the first time ever that the Lead Actor category has seen three actors from the same series simultaneously receive a nod.
Succession already has 13 Emmys including Best Drama Series wins for its Season 2 and Season 3, the latter of which premiered in 2021. Both Cox and Strong have already competed in this category twice. Strong is looking to take home his second Lead Actor trophy this year, after previously winning in 2020. He was also nominated in 2021 along with Cox (who lost the trophy to Strong in 2020).
This marks Culkin’s first foray in the Lead Actor category, though he was previously nominated twice in the Supporting Actor category. Last year, he competed alongside Matthew Macfadyen and Nicholas Braun, and Macfadyen prevailed.
Among all lead drama/comedy acting categories, there have been only a couple of instances of three actors from the same show landing nominationss in the same year, all in the Lead Actress in a Comedy Series field.
Golden Girls’ Betty White, Bea Arthur and Rue McClanahan were all nominated from 1986-89, each taking a turn to win once during the stretch. In 2005, Felicity Huffman, Teri Hatcher and Marcia Cross were all nominated for Desperate Housewives.

the same thing hadn’t happened last year. Viewership for the soapy Western drama far outstrips anything else on cable or broadcast, but perhaps the ongoing alleged “feud” between series star Kevin Costner and “Yellowstone” creator Taylor Sheridan — the latter of the reported “God complex” — had supporters on both sides whispering to each other to slag off the other guy this time around.
HBO had another great Emmy nomination morning with big hauls for series such as Succession, The Last Of Us, The White Lotus and Barry.
Brian Cox is going viral after taking jabs at the notion of “woke culture” during a recent interview with Piers Morgan.
We’ve said it a million times already, but Brian Cox really has no problem saying exactly how he feels, no matter who might be upset. Most of the time, he’s taking shots at Jeremy Strong or defending someone like Bryan Singer.

Marvel fans got their first look at Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine return via Deadpool 3 on Monday, as Ryan Reynolds took to his Instagram stories with a new still from the film. In it, Reynolds’ Merc with a Mouth is seen walking with a super-suited Wolverine in black and yellow.
Zack Sharf Digital News Director Hugh Jackman promised fans that his return as Wolverine in the upcoming “Deadpool 3” would not screw with “Logan,” the 2017 “X-Men” tentpole that brought an end to the superhero’s movie arc by killing him off. It appears Jackman was telling the truth, as a first look at “Deadpool 3” shared on Jackman and co-star Ryan Reynolds’ Instagram finds Wolverine sporting his classic yellow and blue costume from the comic books. This appears not to be the iteration of Wolverine that Jackman previously brought to the screen as the superhero has never worn this costume on the big screen before. “Deadpool 3” is currently in production. The film is being helmed by Shawn Levy, who last directed Reynolds in “Free Guy” and the Netflix tentpole “The Adam Project.” Not much is known about the film’s plot, but it clearly involves the multiverse as Deadpool joins the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time after a string of solo movies produced under Fox.
