The weather may be hit or miss, but there's no denying that spring has well and truly sprung in the UK. If those glorious bursts of sunshine (in between the hail storms!) have got you thinking about spring cleaning, updating your decor and doing a wardrobe sort-out, we have just the duo to give you all of the top tips: our OK! columnists, the Style Sisters. Best friend duo Gemma Lilly and Charlotte Reddington have years of experience when it comes to sorting people's stuff out, and as a result, they have gained a strong celebrity following on their Instagram page.
And this month, they're exclusively telling OK! readers how to welcome spring into your homes with simple, cost-effective swaps that make a huge difference to brightening up a room. Plus, they're sharing some gadgets to restore old clothes coming out of storage. Here, they share five ways to get spring-ready...
Invest in a new vase "Using a bright vase will bring a vibrant and fresh look to your decor," they explain. So if you packed away your vases for spring, it's time to get them back out. And if you don't have anything that looks particularly vibrant, the girls suggest going yellow to mimic the sunshine.
Shop the Style Sisters' pick of the best yellow vases: Oliver Bonas Riviera Stripe Yellow Ceramic Vase, £38 here, Amazon Decorative Ceramic Vase, £18.99 here. Go for brighter blooms "Bright flowers are a great way to welcome spring into your home, and you'll want to swap your winter blooms for your spring bouquet to add colour and bring in sunshine vibes," they add. You can choose whatever spring bouquet you fancy, but for low-cost bunches that will add instant brightness to any room, you could try seasonal ones like daffodils or tulips.
