Ellie Simmonds couldn't help but gush over her professional dance partner Nikita Kuzmin on tonight's Strictly Come Dancing. The Paralympic swimming champion, 27, has formed a close bond with pro Nikita, 24, on this year's series of the hit BBC One show, and on Saturday's show she admitted she has a "crush" on him. In a behind-the-scenes training video viewers got to see them working hard in rehearsals together ahead of the live show, where they performed the Salsa to Shanice's I Love Your Smile.

Ellie Simmonds' mother, Val, was left in tears as she watched her daughter perform an "emotional" Waltz with pro Nikita Kuzmin on Saturday's Strictly Come Dancing. After performing, Ellie, 27, and Nikita, 24, received praise from the judges with Shirley Ballas admitting she was "emotional" after the routine full of "magic".
Anton Du Beke said: "You flowed beautifully and I enjoyed that enormously", Craig Revel Horwood said the performance was "good", and that Ellie did "really, really well" While Motsi Mabuse gave a glowing review of what she had seen and described how a moment when Ellie looked into Nikita's eyes gave her "the biggest Goosebumps ever, it was so magical". Heading to Claudia Winkleman to discuss their performance, the host pointed out that Ellie's emotional mother Val was in the audience as the camera panned onto her.
Claudia, 50, said: "Your mum, Val, is in the audience she looked quite emotional hearing what the judges were saying. She watched I believe last week, on a plane.
"She was like: 'You can't take off, I have to watch my daughter - she's on Strictly Come Dancing.'" To which Ellie revealed her mum picked the "worst time" to go on holiday to Barcelona but luckily the flight got delayed so she was able to watch her debut on the show with her aunty. Ellie sweetly added: "Now they're here in person and it's so nice!" Paralympian Ellie and Nikita received an incredible 30 points for their Waltz to Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley.
