Molly Rainford has been confirmed as the 10th celebrity to join the Strictly Come Dancing 2022 line-up. The 21 year old singer from Essex currently appears on CBBC children’s show Nova Jones, playing the part of an 18 year old intergalactic popstar who occupies her time performing in space. After the Strictly news broke, Molly wrote on Instagram: “The secret’s finally out, I can’t believe it… I’m doing Strictly!! "I already know it’s gonna be an experience of a lifetime & I can’t wait to meet the rest of the @bbcstrictly family I’ll be sharing it with, get me to the dance floor.” Despite her young age, Molly has been in the entertainment industry for many years now, after getting an early start on another hugely successful UK talent show.
Viewers may not recognise the star from her first TV appearance ten years ago, as she featured on ITV's Britain’s Got Talent competition. Molly was only 11 years old when she sung at the auditions for the 2012 series and won over the judges immediately with her impressive performance singing One Night Only from the musical Dreamgirls.
