Coronation Street star Jack James Ryan has shown his support to one of the soap's former stars as she battles cancer.

Still Game star Shamshad Ahktar has been released from hospital after battling covid.
Last weekend, pal Ross Owen asked fans to send well wishes as Shamshad, who played Navid 's faceless wife in the BBC show, when she was admitted to hospital.
It was unknown at the time why, but it has since been revealed that she was fighting coronavirus.
He wrote: "Please join me in sending positive vibes and messages of love to our friend Shamshad (Meena) who’s having some health issues and is in hospital at the moment."
Thankfully, Shamshad has pulled through and has returned home.
Ross posted a Facebook update fans and let them know that the actress 'kicked covid's a**e'.
He wrote: "Meena has kicked covids a**e. She’s coming home today. Yasssss. Made in Scotland… from girders."
And fans were delighted with the news.
One wrote: "Amazing news Shamshad… you are one true fighter."
Another added: "Fantastic news Shamshad, you're defo made of strong stuff."
While one said: "Brilliant welcome home my friend ..God bless."
At the time it was revealed that Shamshad was in hospital, Ross shared a series of photos of her, including one of her lying in her hospital bed, playfully making a crude gesture to the camera.
Shamshad first got involved with Still Game after appearing with Sanjeev in the TV show Overnight Express.
