James Marsters, best known for his role as the spunky and punky vampire Spike in the beloved Nineties TV series Buffy The Vampire Slayer, has left fans pleasantly surprised by his unchanging looks. The California-born actor, now 60 years old, sported a familiar appearance during an interview on the KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O Show. Buffy The Vampire Slayer, a comedy-drama supernatural TV show that first aired in 1997, starred Sarah Michelle Gellar as a teenage vampire hunter.
James gained a cult following for his portrayal of Spike, the English 'punk vampire' who captivated audiences in the popular series alongside Sarah from 1997 until 2003. Initially, both Kyle and Jackie found it hard to pinpoint James' identity until he slipped back into the distinctive London accent that fans associated with Spike. The actor said: "It might be a little easier now that I'm talking like the guy that I played on television, right?" This moment prompted the hosts to finally recognize him. As James disclosed his identity, Kyle fondly remembered being a fan of both Buffy The Vampire Slayer and its spin-off, Angel, with the actor appearing on both shows.
In a recent interview with Radio Times, James revealed he would have “killed off Spike in a heartbeat.” James admitted that he thought "they never really knew what to do" with his character, who was an instant fan favourite, or how he should fit into the larger storyline. He added: “As soon as the audience said, 'Oh, we want him.
Oh, have him with Buffy. Oh, we love that

With lots of stopovers on my itinerary, I didn’t arrive to La Jolla (a coastal city near San Diego) until late at night. William Earl Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme has faced many demons since the release of the 2017 album “Villains”: cancer, divorce, rehab and court battles. And the new Queens record, the just-released “In Times New Roman…,” definitely adds weight to the band’s woozy, bluesy rock — a dour energy far removed from the dancier sound conjured by producer Mark Ronson on “Villains.” “Roman,” self-produced by band founder Homme and one of his strongest QOTSA lineups ever, is one of the rawest and heaviest albums the band has delivered, and during Saturday’s Queens, New York stop of their “The End Is Nero Tour,” they proved that sometimes the new material can be a live standout, even as the band approaches its fourth decade of existence.
