New Coronation Street spoilers reveal that Spider is going to ask his partner Toyah Battersby to marry him.The move comes as Toyah starts to think that her partner is taking her for a fool. Her suspicions start to grow as she finds a bank statement that shows Spider is not as strapped for cash as he has been making out.That leaves Toyah paranoid, and she decides to have a look through his laptop. However, as she starts looking she soon finds out that Spider has been emailing his ex.
Not only has he been talking to her, but he has also been looking for houses near her. As he comes under fire from Toyah, Spider starts to explain that he is trying to accelerate his divorce. He also clarifies to Toyah, that he has used his savings on for something for her.
Then he drops down to one knee and produces a ring and asks Toyah to marry him.The move comes after Spider was offered a new job by his superintendent, but it would mean he needs to move away and have a new identity.The job offer is to protect Spider from Griff Reynolds, as he is out for blood following his arrest. Spider was an undercover officer when he joined Griff's racist gang, which tried to blow up part of Coronation Street. Spider pretended to be one of Griff's good friends to gain information about what they were planning to do.
Later in the week, Spider's past comes back to haunt him and that puts Toyah in danger. On Friday a woman turns up to Toyah's flat pretending to be Spider's wife, but what she doesn't know is that his wife isn't in the country.
