Mrs Hinch has revealed that she is autistic after being unaware for her whole life.
The cleaning guru took to social media on Wednesday, announcing that both she and son Ronnie were recently diagnosed with the condition. After not knowing for 33 years, the influencer said "everything finally makes sense".
Autism is classified as a developmental condition as symptoms tend to appear in the first two years of life, but later diagnoses have become more common - especially in women. Because of this, adults may exhibit certain signs they are autistic without realising.
The mum-of-two shared a heart warming photo of her and Ronnie on Instagram, with its caption saying: "A question I am asked daily. Mrs Hinch, is Ronnie autistic? Yes, our wonderful Ronnie is autistic. In fact, I am too.
"Ron and I have had confirmation for a while now. We decided as a family to take our time to process, to learn, to grow and to find our way together before we shared. "
Since receiving the news, some days for the pair have been tough, mainly due to a lack of understanding that surrounds autism, but others have been "magical". She said: "And if only everyone accepted and understood autism, the world really would be a much better place.
"Ronnie, thank you for being ours, for being so precious and simply incredible. Because of you everything finally made sense to me after 33 years. You are my absolute inspiration in life. I love you Ron … Mummy is right here with you, in this together, forever xxx."
According to the NHS, being autistic does not mean you have an illness, but your brain works in different ways. Also known as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) the condition and its traits can vary greatly and even differ between men and women.
