Police have locked down a shopping centre car park with a blue forensic tent spotted behind the cordon.
Eyewitnesses claim officers have been in attendance at Cameron Toll Shopping Centre in Edinburgh since the early hours of Monday morning.
At least five marked police vehicles were pictured at the scene. An area of the car park, near Costa Coffee and McDonald’s has been taped off.
A concerned member of the public who passed the scene shortly before 3am told Edinburgh Live: “Major incident at Cameron toll shopping centre - whole car park taped off by police five police vehicles forensic tent set up as well."
A worker within the centre spoke of their concern after arriving to see the car park cordoned off at around 6.30am.

They said: "That whole side of the car park is completely blocked off and there is police tape around the trees next to the main road.
"I saw a police car next to the blue tent and another big police van at the junction next to the roundabout. It looks like Costa and McDonald's are both completely cordoned off and nobody can get in.
"It was quite scary as I usually park at that end and saw the police as I arrived. Whatever has happened seems very serious."
