The top "hidden waterfalls" across the UK have been revealed, and two of them are found in Scotland.
With Valentine's Day coming up, Scots around the country will be deciding how best to spend the holiday with their loved one. From an intimate dinner at a fancy restaurant to a trip for two to a romantic fishing village, the sky is the limit.
However, sometimes nothing beats a good old-fashioned walk with your other half. There is seemingly no limit to the rural scenic destinations across Scotland perfect for a Valentine's hike.
If you are needing some inspiration, however, staycation experts at holiday specialists Sally’s Cottages have analysed TikTok data to reveal the "top 10 hidden waterfall walks" in the UK. Coming in at number two on the overall list is Carbost Burn in Scotland.
Situated on the Isle of Skye, Carbost Burn is around a five-minute walk from the nearby road. Although easily accessible, it is an underrated gem and perfect for those wanting seclusion without having to travel too far.
Nestled amidst lush greenery and hills, the waterfall is especially dramatic following heavy rain, and has a clear blue pool at the base for those brave enough for a cold plunge. However, if you want to experience this relaxing environment without having to swim, you can simply rest on the hillside and take in the breathtaking views.
Meanwhile, placing at number eight is Crawton Waterfall, found just outside of the former fishing village of Crawton along the Aberdeenshire coast. The water drops from atop a rugged cliff down into the sea below, making for a jaw-dropping visual to enjoy with your partner.
