S Club 7 have lead the heartbreaking tributes to their bandmate Paul Cattermole, after it was announced on Friday that the star had passed away at the age of 46. The singer was found dead at his home on Thursday 6 April, just weeks after the band revealed their plans to reunite for a special anniversary tour.
Sharing the news of his tragic death with their fans, the remaining members of the band, Hannah Spearritt, Rachel Stevens, Jon Lee, Tina Barrett, Bradley Macintosh and Jo O’Meara lead tributes to the late star as they wrote: “We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul.” They continued: “There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel. We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have.
“He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time.” In their statement on Paul’s death, his devastated family wrote: "It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.
"Paul was found yesterday, 6th April 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon." "While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances. Paul’s family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time.” Shortly after the news broke, fans and famous faces from all around the globe rushed to express their deepest condolences at the lost of a man that had so easily become a staple of so many childhoods throughout the 1990s.
